Actress Kavya Madhavan has filed an anticipatory bail plea at the Kerala High Court in connection with the actress attack case, it has emerged.
Kavya's counsel submitted the bail application at the High Court on Saturday. Reports claim that Kavya's camp expects the police to make a move to arrest the actress and is determined to prevent the scenario.
The HC bench will hear the bail plea on Monday, September 18. In the application, Kavya claims that she is innocent but the police are trying to frame her in the case. The actress also says the probe team keeps calling her repeatedly though she told them everything she knows.
When questioned earlier, Kavya had told the police that she didn't know prime accused Pulsar Suni. However, it is understood that the probe team has found evidence to suggest otherwise.
The development comes a week after Dileep's close friend and director Nadrishah filed an anticipatory bail application in connection with the case. The High Court will consider his his bail plea also on Monday.
The police had arrested Kavya's husband and actor Dileep on July 10 on charges of conspiracy in the actress attack. He has been lodged at the Aluva sub-jail since then. The Angamaly court will hear his bail plea on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the police will interrogate Nadirshah again on Sunday. The probe team had called the director to the Aluva police club for questioning on Friday but it was suspended after he felt physically unwell.
