High Court police delay probe Nadirshah questioning bail dileep

The Kerala High Court has criticised the police team investigating the Kochi actress attack case and expressed its displeasure over the delay into the probe.

The HC bench asked the prosecution if the case is rolling out like a slow screenplay and whether they intend to extend it infinitely. The court also asked if the probe team is questioning new culprits every month.

When informed director Nadirshah is not an accused, the HC rapped the prosecution, asking why do they want the director's bail plea to be rejected in that case. Demanding a deadline for the case soon, the court expressed suspicion whether prime accused Pulsar Suni is being questioned repeatedly to please someone.

“Are you questioning a different accused each month? Are you trying to keep the case alive in the news by questioning Pulsar Suni? Then the court will have to make suo-motu intervention in the case,” the court warned the prosecution.

Manjeri Sreedharan Nair, the director general of prosecution who appeared for the police, informed the court that the probe will be over inside two more weeks.

The High Court also asked Nadirshah to appear before the probe team for questioning on Friday but prevented his arrest till the hearing of his anticipatory bail plea, which has been postponed to September 18.

Meanwhile, actor Dileep, who was arrested on July 10 and currently lodged in the Aluva sub-jail, is expected to file a fresh bail plea in the High Court on Thursday.
