The police have cited several reasons for the extension of judicial custody. They argue that releasing the accused at this stage could disrupt the case. Concerns were raised about the potential for witness intimidation and obstruction of the identification parade. The authorities noted that bail could lead to threats against witnesses or attempts to influence their testimony.

Moreover, the examination of technical and scientific evidence related to the case is still underway. Some evidence has been sent for expert analysis, with reports yet to be received. The retrieval of data from seized CDRs and DVRs is also in progress, and the investigation remains incomplete pending this data. The collection of evidence directly involving the accused is still ongoing.

The court was informed that the accused had significant influence, financial resources, and a substantial fan base. This raises concerns that if granted bail, they or their supporters might intimidate witnesses or disrupt the investigation. The remand application highlighted recent attempts by individuals associated with the accused to visit the family of the deceased, which could potentially influence the case.
