Bengaluru: Various localities to face power outage on August 17 for maintenance work

In July, Bengaluru had a six-day power outage allegedly caused by maintenance work in the Austin Town sub-station regions.

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced that the city of Bengaluru would experience a power outage on August 17 from 9 am to 5 pm in a few of its neighbourhoods.

The areas that would be impacted include Kachanayakanahalli, Jigani Link Road, Bommasandra, both sides of Bommasandra Industrial Area, Phase 1 and 2, behind D-Mart. Other areas include ACC Road, Suprajith Road, SLN Nagar, Infosys Colony, and Sriramapura village.
BESCOM stated in a statement that power outages would occur in regions served by the 220/66/11-kV Yarandahalli MUSS to allow for maintenance and other emergency operations.

From August 9 to August 15, between 10 am and 5.30 pm, power was down in the Jayanagar neighbourhood. In July, Bengaluru had a six-day power outage allegedly caused by maintenance work in the Austin Town sub-station regions.

Earlier on August 6, as per the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited, there were power outages in several sections of Bengaluru between 10 am and 5 pm owing to scheduled maintenance work on Bannerghatta Road (BESCOM). The impacted areas were Gollahalli, Jalli Machine, Kalkere, Laxmipura, Sakalavara, Hullahalli, Chinappana Palya, CK Palya, PSBB School, Tulip Gate, and Hulu Kasavanahalli.
