Coronavirus: Nearly 6 lakh students appear for II PUC English exam

Students were advised to wear masks throughout the duration of the examination and 3-feet distance was maintained between each desk

Students appeared for their II PUC English exam at their respective examination centres in Karnataka

 Nearly 6 lakh students formed the first batch of students who appeared for their annual examination after three months of lockdown

A total of 5,95,997 students from both government and private colleges took the exam on Thursday.

 There are 1,016 examination centres and the state government said it has taken all safety precautions to ensure that students appear for the exams without fear

Social distancing was maintained, and thermal screening was conducted to curb the spread of coronavirus in the exam centres

The state government had approved the automatic promotion of students studying till ninth grade but decided to conduct exams for 10th graders
