Is Bipasha Basu to make her comeback? Here's what we know
Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu hints about her big screen comeback. The actress also spoke out about how she was left in shock after learning about her pregnancy.
Bipasha Basu was last seen on screen eight years ago in the horror thriller Alone (2015), co-starring Karan Singh Grover. It was his debut, and on the set of this picture, the two first met and fell in love. They got married a year later. In 2020, the duo will star in the online series Dangerous. Karan then went on to play the lead in Qubool Hai 2.0 (2021), while Bipasha did not appear.
Bipasha, who is now a mother, is preparing for her comeback. During an interview with News18, she boldly remarked about wanting to face the camera again. “My daughter has finally been pushing me out of the house and making me do events. I’ve been giving excuses saying I need more time before returning to work. But I do love to act,” she told us.
Bipasha gave birth to a daughter, Devi, in November of last year, and it appears that pregnancy and parenting responsibilities have kept her busy in the previous several months. With her kid approaching a year old, the Dum Maro Dum (2011) and Humshakals (2014) actress is eager to return to her love. "I'll get back to it as soon as possible." I believe my daughter will let me do it. I'm still figuring out how to manage job and motherhood. "That is something I am still learning," she continued.
Bipasha gave birth to her daughter seven years after her marriage and experienced a difficult few weeks thereafter. She stated in an Instagram live session with Neha Dhupia a while back that she conceived Devi via IVF and discovered three days after her birth that she had two holes in her heart. Devi had to have open-heart surgery after being diagnosed with ventricular septal defect.
Bipasha also confessed that her route to pregnancy was not easy, and she couldn't believe it when she found out she was going to be a mother. "I was shocked to learn that I was pregnant." I had been trying for a baby for quite some time. It took me a while to even cry. I can't even put into words how I felt the first time I saw her. The experience was unexplainable. Thank goodness there's a video of it. Nothing could possibly top it," Bipasha recalls.
"There's something new every day," she said of her and Karan's parenting adventure. It's thrilling to see the development of a small human being right in front of your eyes. There are so many firsts for us!"
