- The group tried their best to get Baahubali actor to the discussion, but it is learnt that Prabhas's uncle Krishnam Raju advised him not to attend the discussion.
Since last week we have heard many caste-based groups warning and issuing death threats to Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the portrayal of Rani Padmavati in the movie Padmavathi,
Many celebrities from film industry came out in support of the movie and its filmmakers.
Recently All India Kshatriya Mahasabha, the nationwide union of people belonging to Kshatriya community, wanted to bring Tollywood superstar Prabhas to debate on Padmavati controversy.
The group tried their best to get Baahubali actor to the discussion, but it is learnt that Prabhas's uncle Krishnam Raju advised him not to attend the discussion. Reportedly, he used his political power to keep Prabhas out of it.
Of course, involving Prabhas in the discussion would have increased the TRP of the programme, but the actor, at last, decided to stay away from the controversy.
The reason is that Prabhas's family is from the Kshatriya community and filmmaker Krishnam Raju is also part of some of these associations. Hence, they wanted Baahubali to voice out his opinions. But Prabhas speaking for Padmavati movie and filmmakers will have its repercussions as it will be like speaking against the Kshatriya clan. If he speaks against the movie, then it surely will not go well with the celebrities who are already supporting the film and filmmakers.
Veteran actor Kamal Haasan has also come out in support of actor Deepika, who portrays Padmavati, saying that he wants her head to be saved. The release of Padmavati has been postponed amid protests by various Rajput groups and political leaders.
