A motorist Dasari Pawan Kumar, who witnessed this, shot a video on his phone and posted it on his Facebook account. He wrote: "Our CM had come to Kakinada and when he was leaving, all roads were blocked. At the same time, an ambulance came on this blocked road, and there was no police clearance. For CM convoy, the ambulance was stopped. The public made way for the ambulance, but if the administration had also co-operated, the ambulance could have made its way out of the barricades."

As soon as the post was published, it became viral, and people poured in messages criticising the chief minister for being insensitive. The incident was reported when the Chief Minister was leaving from Sankalp Sabha programme on June 8 at 6.30 PM.

Later, speaking to CNN News 18, Pawan Kumar had said that he even requested the convoy to allow the ambulance to pass. But the officers are said to have refused to do so. The ambulance with a patient in it made to wait for 20 to 30 minutes is inhuman, he said.

Reacting to the post, many people lashed out at the VVIP apathy and said Ambulance should be the priority and not the government officials and ministers.
