Viral video of Chennai billboard collapse is fake

Even before cyclone Nivar made landfall, coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry were being lashed by heavy rains and strong gusts of winds.

 

Social media was flooded with pictures and videos of the storm's effect.

 

Amidst this, a video went viral on Twitter claiming to be from Chennai. The video show a signboard along the street collapsing on two motorists due to the storm.

 

However, fact is that this video was not from Chennai, but from Pakistan and was first posted in August.
