Out to get groceries on a raft, four persons including a 6-year-old, drowned and went missing in river Krishna.
The incident occurred on August 17 when the raft carrying 14 persons was returning from Panchadipada in Telangana when the raft capsized
10 people managed to swim to safety. However, four persons drowned
The victims are identified as Kuvarlakula village residents Parbathi (55), Narsamma (36), Sumalatha (32) and 6-year-old Roja who are yet to be traced. The NDRF team began the operation but abandoned it in the night due to poor visibility and began search operations again today.
