Bikers caught performing stunts, 17 motorcycles seized from Bengaluru outskirts; teenagers to face arrest
Despite warnings against dangerous riding and performing wheelies, teenagers from Karnataka and Hosur near the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border were involved in performing wheelies on Sunday. Police waiting in mufti caught them and seized vehicles.
Bengaluru Traffic Police has managed to bust another group of bike stunt performers on NICE road on Sunday morning. Based on a weeklong search of leads, 17 bikes were seized and over a dozen were held.
DCP Traffic M Narayan said, the commissioner of police had given clear instructions that no such dangerous activities should take place on city roads and outskirts, yet these teenagers took up their motorbike.
Police also subjected them to blood tests to know their possible involvement in drug abuse. Police also have seized mobile phones and based on electronic evidence about dangerous stunts have booked cases.
