Four people, including a nine-year-old boy, who were under treatment for the Nipah virus in Kozhikode have recovered. Health Minister Veena George informed that all four have tested negative and were discharged from NIMS Hospital.

Health Minister Veena George informed that the test results of 61 people, including the person who was in close contact with the person who died due to Nipah, turned out to be negative on Monday( Sep 18). As of now, around 200 samples have been tested negative. The Minister said that the central team is satisfied with the defence activities of Kerala.

Kerala Health Minister Veena George has confirmed that no fresh cases of Nipah were reported on Saturday. She also said that 11 samples that were sent for Nipah testing turned out to be negative.

 The 11 samples that were sent for Nipah testing turned negative on Thursday (Sep 14). The number of people on the contact list has increased to 950, with 213 of them considered high-risk. The contact list also contains 287 health workers.

The Nipah test results of a BDS student who sought treatment in Thiruvananthapuram has turned out to be negative on Wednesday. The preliminary test was conducted at the Institute of Virology in Thonnakkal.

The test results of three people undergoing treatment for Nipah symptoms were found to be negative. The test was conducted at the VRDL Lab of Kozhikode Medical College. Kerala Health Minister Veena George confirmed  four cases of Nipah virus in the state on Tuesday.

The Karnataka state that was hit by Nipah virus scare as a youth working with Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru had shown symptoms of fever and body pain has now tested negative. The patient who is a microbiologist voluntarily tested and isolated following symptoms a few days back.
