The washrooms of Urdu Primary School were in such condition that students were falling sick and suffered from skin infections.  The school authority and students also wrote to Devara Jeevanahalli corporator who did not respond.

When authorities failed to respond to repeated complaints, it is the students of Oasis International School in Bengaluru who took the matter in their hands. Despite repeated complaints, the Devara Jeevanahalli corporator did not respond to government Urdu primary school’s request to renovate the washrooms. 

Then, Oasis International School’s fourth standard students decided to raise money for the renovation and succeeded in raising approximately ₹40000.

The condition of the washroom was such that students of the Urdu primary school were reportedly falling sick and also they suffered from skin infections. The two washrooms did not have proper doors, one did not have a basin and also the walls were in pathetic condition. Water supply was rare, and there was garbage on the way to the washrooms. 

The school authority, as well as the students, wrote to the corporator that fell on deaf ears. 

Sarvath Adil Khan, the parent coordinator of the project, told Bangalore Mirror that after seeing the condition of the washrooms in the Urdu primary school, they installed a piggy bank in the Oasis International School where the students deposited their contribution. After sufficient money was raised, the renovation began recently. 

Apart from putting up doors, installing basin, and building walls; the fund was also utilised to increasing the height of the compound walls of the schools to prevent people living nearby to throw garbage inside the premise. The student from the international school also donated various things to be used by the primary school students. 

The students of Oasis International School has previously also raised funds for various caused like standard eight students raised ₹25000 for HBS hospital (Dialysis Centre) etc.
