Whether you love or hate Reliance Jio, one cannot deny that it has been instrumental in pushing affordable data tariffs. It has brought in a wave of 'who is offering the best' data plan along with unlimited calls. Reliance jio plans start at a price as low as Rs 19, so we decided to find out what leading telcos are offering at that price. 

Reliance Jio has changed the dynamics of the telecom industry in India. Airtel is among the leading telcos in India, and has been trying to match every Jio step with a lucrative deal. We tried looking at  some of the deals offered by both. 

The last few months have been very exciting in the Indian telecom space. Jio disrupted the markets with its free data offers and other companies tried to match up to the deals, which turned out to be win-win for consumers. TRAI ordered Jio to retract the Summer Surprise plan that offered 3 months of free data on recharging for ₹309. And, there are a series of other offers from Airtel, Vodafone and BSNL. After Jio, leading telcos Vodafone and Airtel have churned out tariff rates to combat Jio. All have offers that will let users get 1GB of data per day at affordable rates of as low as ₹10 per day. Whether you love Jio or hate it, the telco has paved way for some lucrative data rates and it's a win-win for consumers. 

After the Reliance Jio Prime offer that is asking users to become a Prime member before 31 March with a one-time fee of ₹99 and there after ₹303 per month, Airtel has now announced a similar offer that brings 1GB data/ day and 28GB per month at ₹345. This promotional offer is available until 31 March 2017.
