In a recent video blog, senior Pakistani journalist, Hamid Mir, has accused India's RAW and its Afghan counterpart NDS of orchestrating 'targeted killings' on Pakistan soil.

The Taliban has for the first time appointed a chargé d'affaires to head the Afghanistan embassy in New Delhi. The head of the Taliban's political office in Doha and designate ambassador to the UN, Suhail Shaheen, confirmed the development and called it a rational move.

Ghani subsequently issued a message on Twitter, claiming that the official Facebook page has been hacked since yesterday and that any information posted since then is invalid.

"Leaving Kabul was the most difficult decision of my life," he said, adding that he was sorry he "could not make it end differently".
 

On July 23, the two leader chatted for around 14 minutes. Ghani departed the presidential house on August 15, and the Taliban took over Kabul.

The step taken to bring the holy books to New Delhi comes in the wake deteriorating situation in Afghanistan after collapse of Ashraf Ghani-led democratic-elected government, now seized by Taliban.

In a statement, UAE foreign ministry confirmed that the country has welcomed Ashraf Ghani and his family into the country on humanitarian grounds.
