Hyderabad: 10-year-old boy sells bird food to raise funds for cancer affected sister
The young boy has not quit his education and is continuing his education at a local Madrasa in the city. He sells bird food from 6 am to 8 am with his mother, and post that, he attends classes till 5 pm.
To help his 12-year old sister medically, a 10-year-old boy Syed Aziz from Hyderabad, is assisting in raising funds. His sister Sakeena Begum was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer two years back. In a bid to support his family to tackle hospital expenses, Syed stepped in and decided to sell bird food alongside his mother.Â
Speaking to the media, Syed's mother said that the doctors suggested that Sakeena should undergo radiotherapy to save her life. However, they received funds from the Telangana government but got exhausted in her radiotherapy. She also said the money from selling the bird food is just enough to meet the expenses of medicines as there is also another diagnostic expenditure, including MRI, X-ray and blood tests.

In a similar incident, Delhi's Connaught place also witnessed a 15-year-old girl who sold bird food to help his mother. Later, the state police came forward and helped her in sponsoring her education.
