On Thursday, a major protest was planned by the district Congress. It was also planned to hold protests in all districts all over the State. The protests were also staged. However, the protest in Bengaluru lacked luster as important leaders were absent.

Apart from KPCC president Dr Parameshwar, the man who organised the protest, Bengaluru Unit president S T Somashekar himself was absent. Only Dinesh Gundurao, ministers Ramalinga Reddy, K J George, MLA R V Devaraj, MLA V S Ugrappa were present.

It is said that the raid is a definite signal to Congress from IT Department and nobody wanted to invite the wreath of the department by participating in the protest. At New Delhi too the protest organised in front of the Parliament was suddenly called off.

No national leader of Congress made any remark about the raid. It is posed as a disinterest in Congress to support D K S. It is also being said that it is a caution that any problem with It Department should not befall on the entire Congress Party.
