West Bengal transport minister Suvendu Adhikari has tested positive for COVID-19 and is under home isolation. The minister's mother has also contracted the disease. Wishes have been pouring in for a speedy recovery of Suvendu Adhikari.
Kolkata: West Bengal transport minister Suvendu Adhikari has tested positive for COVID-19. The reports came on Thursday (September 24) night. The 49-year-old legislator from Nandigram in Purba Medinipur district has isolated himself at a guest house in Kolaghat.
According to sources, Suvendu Adhikari is expected to be admitted to hospital on September 25. The minister's mother underwent surgery a few days ago. She was admitted to a well-known private hospital on September 24 night.

As per reports, Suvendu Adhikari’s mother also tested positive for COVID-19. The family members are worried as two people in the house have been infected with COVID-19. Other family members are in isolation on the advice of a doctor.
However, Mamata's Cabinet is worried about the COVID infection. Earlier, fire minister Sujit Basu and minister Swapan Debnath was infected with COVID-19. However, both recovered and returned home safely.
