With each Karnataka district witnessing anemia among at least 3000 children, the fear of these children falling prey to Covid-19 third wave looms large. As a result, the Revenue Department will provide medicines and nutritious food to keep these children healthy.

Vitamin tablets, dry fruits, fresh fruits, millets and other nutritious food will be given to these children. This is to help them overcome anemia and remain healthy and build immunity against Covid.

"Vitamin tablets, dry fruits and fresh fruits to be given to children with anemia for the next two months. In each district, about 1000 to 3000 children are anemic," said Revenue Minister R Ashoka.

The Minister said that in Bengaluru rural district he found 1,500 children anemic during his tour. The Minister then got the report from each district and based on it, found that in each district there are about 1,000 to 3,000 children suffering from anemia.
