Mumbai Police have registered a case of accidental death.
Around 2.5 kg Gelatin was recovered from Mansukh's vehicle.
CCTV footage from near the Ambani residence showed the Scorpio being parked in the wee hours of the morning. After parking the SUV, the driver of the car left the spot an Innova car that was trailing the other vehicle.
Mansukh had been missing since Thursday following which his family had registered a missing complaint.
Thane Municipal Corporation personnel fished out Mansukh's body from the Creek.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has sought that the case probe be handed over to the National Investigation Agency.
Raising the issue in the Maharashtra assembly, Fadnavis said there were too many coincidences that could not be ignored or brushed away.
Citing an instance, Fadnavis said that the owner of the SUV lived in Thane and the police officer who first arrived outside the Ambani residence was from Thane and not the personnel from the local police station.
