Rajasthan: Animal unfriendly humans cut leg of camel for venturing into farmland
Three people in Rajasthan were arrested for a barbaric act. The accused caught a camel calf and severed its leg after it ventured into their farmland. The accused are Panaram Meghwal, Gopiram Meghwal and Lichhmanaram Meghwal from Rajasthan’s Churu district
<p>In a case of cruelty towards animals, a camel calf was caught by three persons and one of its legs amputated using a sharp sickle after the animal had ventured into their farmland.<br /> </p>

<p>The incident came to light on July 18 after a video of the horrific incident went viral prompting Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Heavy Industries Arjun Ram Meghwal to speak up against the act.</p>

<p>The minister also believes that by attacking camels, the accused have hurt the sentiments of Hindus as the community consider the camel as Lord Hanuman's vehicle. People also consider it as Rajasthan's state animal.</p>

<p>The district administration has been asked to ensure that such acts are not repeated and to keep a close tab on such crimes against animals and the Union minister has pitched for strong action against the accused.</p>
