To strengthen its position in the cutthroat MPV market, Kia India has unveiled the Kia Clavis, a high-end facelifted version of the Carens MPV. With its dramatic style, cutting-edge technology, and improved safety, the Clavis is positioned as a more upscale alternative to the current Carens.
Delivery is anticipated shortly, and reservations go live on May 9, 2025, for Rs 25,000 through Kia's official website or dealerships.

With Kia's iconic digital tiger face, tri-beam LED headlights, arrow-shaped LED DRLs, and a thinner grille, the Clavis has a tough, SUV-inspired appearance. Along with a new bumper, the back has full-width light bars and starmap LED-connected taillights. With a redesigned dashboard and a 26.62-inch dual panoramic display screen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Clavis improves the MPV experience. The inside seems more upscale thanks to features like a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, and touch controls for the air conditioner. With a walk-in lever for moving the first-row passenger seat and second-row captain chairs with sliding, reclining, and one-touch motorized tumble features, the Clavis is available in six- and seven-seater configurations. A 360-degree camera, wireless charging with cooling, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, and ventilated front seats are extra amenities.

With the addition of a new manual gearbox option for the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol, the Clavis keeps the powertrains of the Carens. A 1.5-liter normally aspirated petrol engine (115 horsepower, 144 Nm of torque), a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine (160 horsepower, 253 Nm of torque), and a 1.5-liter diesel engine (116 horsepower, 250 Nm of torque) are among the available engines. Six-speed manual, six-speed iMT, six-speed automatic, and seven-speed DCT are available transmission options.

With 20 autonomous functions, the Clavis offers Level-2 ADAS, such as adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind spot collision warning, lane maintain assist, front collision avoidance help, and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist.
