Oscars 2023 Nominations list OUT: 'RRR', 'The Elephant Whisperers', and other nominations for Academy awards
While the excitement is at an all-time high for the Oscars 2023 Awards this time, we look at the Indian films nominated this year in main categories.

Noted Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli's film 'RRR' has scored one nomination for the best original song category for "Naatu Naatu." Naatu Naatu has already won a Golden Globe award. While RRR, the film, has won big at the global HCA Awards and Critics Choice Awards. It will be interesting enough to see if Naatu Naatu wins an Oscar. If it wins, history will get created. This pan-Indian blockbuster film, RRR, will make a first-time record of leaving renowned Hollywood musicians and big contemporaries behind.

Indian documentary film, 'All That Breathes' by Shaunak Sen, has earned a nomination for Best documentary feature film this time for Oscars 2023. The Elephant Whisperers, helmed by Guneet Monga, has scored a nomination for the best documentary short film, respectively.
Hollywood is gearing up for the 95th Academy Awards. Multiverse sci-fi smash "Everything Everywhere All at Once" tops the list with 11 nominations, followed by Irish dark comedy "The Banshees of Inisherin" and World War I flick "All Quiet on the Western Front" at nine.
Best feature films nominated in this category are 'All Quiet on the Western Front', 'Avatar: The Way of Water', 'The Banshees of Inisherin', 'Elvis', 'Everything Everywhere All at Once', 'The Fabelmans', 'Tar', 'Top Gun: Maverick', 'Triangle of Sadness', and 'Women Talking'.
The Best directors nominated are Martin McDonagh for The Banshees of Inisherin, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert for Everything Everywhere All at Once, Steven Spielberg for The Fabelmans, Todd Field for Tar, Ruben Ostlund for Triangle of Sadness.
The best actors nominated for Oscars include Austin Butler for Elvis, Colin Farrell for The Banshees of Inisherin, Brendan Fraser for The Whale, Paul Mescal for Aftersun, and Bill Nighy for Living.
The best actresses nominated are Cate Blanchett for Tar, Ana de Armas for Blonde, Andrea Riseborough for To Leslie, Michelle Williams for The Fabelmans, and Michelle Yeoh for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Best supporting actors nominated for Oscars are Brendan Gleeson for The Banshees of Inisherin, Brian Tyree Henry for Causeway, Judd Hirsch for The Fabelmans, Barry Keoghan for The Banshees of Inisherin, Ke Huy Quan for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Best supporting actress nominated for Oscars are Angela Bassett for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Hong Chau for The Whale, Kerry Condon for The Banshees of Inisherin, Jamie Lee Curtis for Everything Everywhere All at Once, Stephanie Hsu for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
The best international feature film nominated for Oscars is All Quiet on the Western Front" (Germany), "Argentina, 1985" (Argentina), "Close" (Belgium), "EO" (Poland), "The Quiet Girl" (Ireland).
The best-animated feature films nominated are Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, Marcel the Shell With Shoes On, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, The Sea Beast, and Turning Red.
The best documentary feature films nominated are All That Breathes, All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, Fire of Love, A House Made of Splinters, and Navalny.
