The 47-second video clip gives us a glimpse of Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari at the snowy mesmerising background of Kashmir. We also get to see an outline of Karthi and his voice reciting the lines from Bharathiyar's poem.

 

If you look the teaser carefully, Aditi will make you remind of Manisha Koirala from Dil Se. In the movie, Manisha has a dark side behind her beautiful and innocent smile.  

 

The video shows Aditi peeping out of a bus and enjoying the snowfall on her face, while Karthi's voice-over recites lines from Subramanya Bharathi's poem set to AR Rahman's magical tune. Rahman's background score gives the teaser an ethereal touch that reminds us also of movie Roja

 

We already are aware of Mani Ratnam and A R Rahman combination conjures up nothing short of sheer magic. They have an iconic bunch of 15 films together, including Kaatru Veliyidai (Cheliya in Telugu).

Stunning camera work by ace cinematography Ravi Varman, who will take you on a journey of visual ecstasy. According to a report, the song and a few action scenes were shot in Kashmir and Ladakh.  

 

One of the sources said, "Major portion of the movie shot in Kashmir, and some key scenes filmed in Ladakh. It'll be the second time Mani will be shooting in Ladakh after Dil Se," the source added. Parts of the movie has also been filmed in scenic locations of Nilgiris and Ooty.  

 

The clip ends by saying that the first song will hit the Internet on February 2. Releasing a single for an upcoming film has become a trend, given that they create a lot of positive buzz around the film. 

 

The film features veteran actor Lalitha, Rukmini Vijay Kumar, Shraddha Srinath, Delhi Ganesh and R.J Balaji. Produced by Madras Talkies, Kaatru Veliyidai will hit the screens by March.
