Uttar Pradesh: Trio molests 14-year-old girl out to buy medicines; minor ends life
A minor girl, who was molested by three youths, allegedly committed suicide in Uttar Pradesh. Two have been arrested
FollowKanpur: In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh, who went to buy medicines, was molested by three persons. Unable to bear the humiliation, the girl allegedly committed suicide.
The incident was reported on Saturday (June 27) at Kanpur's Bidhnoo area.
Following the incident, the victim’s mother has lodged a complaint with Bidhnoo police and held the trio responsible for her minor daughter's alleged suicide.
In her complaint, the minor's mother stated that her daughter had gone out to buy medicines from a nearby pharmaceutical store when she was waylaid and molested by three local youths.
The mother also claimed that her daughter was subjected to harassment on multiple occasions in the past. And on that fateful night after her daughter escaped from them and came home, the accused persons followed and barged inside her house and threatened with dire consequences.
After this, the girl was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her room.
Based on the complaint, the police arrested two persons and are on the lookout for the third one who is on the run.
