HAL staffer held for leaking fighter jet info to Pakistan's ISI
The arrested suspect was allegedly passing on sensitive details about the fighter aircraft and about the HAL aircraft manufacturing unit at Ozar near Nashik
Mumbai: A Hindustan Aeronautics Limited employee has reportedly been arrested for allegedly supplying information on Indian fighter aircraft to Pakistan's  espionage agency Inter-Services Intelligence.
According to Maharashtra police, the Nashik unit of the state anti-terrorism Squad had received a tip-off about an HAL employee who was in constant touch with the ISI handlers.
Media reports said the arrested suspect was allegedly passing on sensitive details about the fighter aircraft and about the HAL aircraft manufacturing unit at Ozar near Nashik.
ATS sources said that the accused had been booked under Sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923.Â
Three mobile handsets with five SIM cards and two memory cards have been seized from the accused person.Â
The accused has been sent to 10-day police custody.Â
