After killing goat man beheads wife, buries severed body in puja room to please deity
In a case of superstitious beliefs leading to killings, a man beheaded his wife and then buried her head and body inside a puja room. The man who believed in occult practices was arrested and taken into custody for further investigation.

The husband of the victim, aged 50, was said to be deeply involved in occult practices and this led to him beheading his wife to please the deity in order to attain supreme power.
The incident has sent the entire village of Basauda into deep shock and fear.
As it was full moon day on Wednesday, the husband believed that he could please the deity and also ensure his wife's soul rests in peace. He beheaded his wife during the wee hours of Wednesday.
The man, after a while, fled the scene and his two sons who woke up to find out about the killing of their mother inside the puja room. They informed the police who arrested their father and have subjected him to a probe after producing him in court.
A few days ago, the man sacrificed a goat and also buried the body in the same manner, but the sons never expected that their mother would meet the same fate as the goat.
