CBSE CTET exam dates announced; Last date for applications is October 25

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted from December 16 onwards, the Central Board for Secondary Education has announced

The CTET, to be conducted in computer-based test mode, will be held from December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2022.

The CBSE had initiated the application process for the CTET examination on September 20. The last date for submitting the applications has been extended till October 25. Applicants can submit their fee before 3:30 PM on October 26.

How to apply for CTET?

Step 1
Visit the website ctet.nic.in 

Step 2
On the home page, scroll down to 'Apply for CTET December 2021' and click on the link.

Click on New Registration

Step 4
Fill the online application form

Step 5
Upload your scanned photo and signature

Step 6
Pay the examination fee

The examination fee: For General/OBC is Rs 1000 (either of the two papers) and Rs 1200 (for both Paper 1 and 2). For candidates belong to the SC/ST and differently-abled sections, the fee is Rs 500 (either of the two papers) and Rs 600 (for both Paper 1 and 2).

Additional examination city

The CBSE has informed that a new examination city is now available in Leh. The Board informed that candidates who have already applied for CTET December 2021 and wish to change their city or make any correction in their particulars in the online application form.

The changes can be made between October 28 and November 3.

About the CTET examination

According to the CBSE, the question papers will be framed to give more emphasis on conceptual understanding, problem-solving, reasoning, critical thinking and application. The questions will gauge the candidates' understanding of teaching the subject and knowledge of the relevance of the subject in the school curriculum. Questions will also assess planning of teaching-learning experiences, strategies to evolve conceptual clarity, use of teaching-learning aids, and assessment methodologies specific to the concept.
