Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will flag in the Indian Air Force's Uttarakhand War Memorial car rally on October 30 in Arunachal Pradesh. The rally received a grand welcome at Gauhati University, where military leaders encouraged students to join the armed forces for a meaningful life.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh gave a send-off to the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) 7,000 km-long Vayu Veer Vijeta car rally from India Gate, New Delhi, to Thoise in Ladakh. The rally, crossing eight states and two union territories, will be officially flagged off to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh on October 8 to mark the IAF's 92nd anniversary.
The Indian Air Force's "Vayu Veer Vijeta" Himalayan Thunder Car Rally, spanning 7,000 km from Thoise to Tawang, aims to attract youth to join the Air Force and highlight its achievements. The rally, featuring 52 air warriors, including women officers, will cover 16 halts and 20 interactions.

The AoN was also accorded for procurement of Air Defence Fire Control Radars, which will detect and track aerial target and provide firing solution. The proposal has also been approved for Forward Repair Team (Tracked) which has suitable cross country mobility for carrying out in-situ repair during mechanised operations.
Arighat is the first-of-class INS Arihant which was launched in July 2009. It was commissioned in August 2016. The third one was launched in November 2021 but has not been named yet.
