People may be susceptible to their favourite cuisines and places of origin at times. When a Twitter user recently asserted that North Indian dosas are superior, it sparked intense discussions.
It all started when a Twitter user, @unstablemaria, voiced her view, writing, "You'll never see south Indians stating we make north Indian food better EVER." People in the North, on the other hand, do not shy away from serving cuisine from the south. When someone answered, "NORTH INDIAN DOSA IS BETTER," things went wrong.

This quickly sparked intense arguments and conversations on the microblogging network, and the hashtag #Dosa began trending. With so many dosa variations in the North, whether sweet and coupled with chocolate or filled with cheese, many people entered the discussion, urging people not to spoil the basic meal. The heated Twitter debates continued, with many people saying that nothing beats a real South Indian dosa. Others questioned if the name "North Indian dosa" was even suitable.
