Three coaches of the Sarayu Jamuna Express train caught fire at Kartapur Railway Station in Jalandhar. The S2 coach was completely burnt, the S1 and S3 coaches were partially burnt.

The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) seeks to grant Indian citizenship to Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, Buddhists and Christians fleeing religious persecution from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
