Former Karnataka ministers MB Patil, KR Ramesh Kumar, SR Patil, former MP VS Ugrappa and other Congress leaders were heckled and forced into the police jeep before they were sent back to Bengaluru from Mangauru Airport. The leaders wanted to meet the injured and family of the deceased in police firing during CAA backlash three days ago.  

A day after Chetan Singh Rathore, Central DCP, Bengaluru City, attempted to pacify the agitators by making them sing the national anthem, HSR Layout police inspector Raghavendra reached HSR Layout Masjid and appealed to the Muslim community members not to fall in the trap of rumour mongers and spread any information against CAA and NRC.

Minister of state, railways, Suresh Angadi reacted to the police firing against CAA protesters on December 19 and said why would anyone keep quiet when one is trying to torch houses. He also questioned if revolvers were given to perform pooja .    

Karnataka minister CT Ravi said Godhra-like situation would arise if the majority loses patience. Congress leader UT Khader had claimed that Karnataka would burn if the Citizenship (Amendment) Act is implemented.
