4-year-old girl battles COVID-19 for 5 months, recovers; healthcare workers applaud her farewell

A little girl from Mexico received a big round of applause from healthcare workers and doctors as she recovered from Covid-19 after battling it for five months.

4-year-old Stella was admitted to the hospital in April after contracting Covid-19, and she spent over five months in the pediatric ICU.

In the video shared by University of New Mexico Health Sciences, Stella can be seen seated on a wheelchair and moving towards the exit gate, while doctors and staff applaud her successful recovery.

UNM HSC thanked their community for donating iPads which helped Stella stay connected with her family.

However, the video went viral and garnered over 8,000 views, and netizens lauded Stella for her successful recovery.
