Viral video: Woman officer dances in joy as Similipal Forest finally receives rain after fire

A video of a woman forest officer dancing in joy after rain showers over Similipal National Park has emerged on social media. The wildfires have been burning the area for the last two weeks.

The second-largest biosphere Similipal National Park in Asia, has been in headlines after wildfires erupted last two weeks ago. However, thanks to precipitation and hailstorm, the fire has been restrained completely, the state government announced on Wednesday.

A woman forest officer’s video has gone viral as she shouts and dances in joy. In the video, the lady guard is overjoyed following the showers and can be seen praising the rain God for listening to her prayers. She even shouts, "bahut jyada barsha de (Give us more rain)".

Indian Forest Service Officer Ramesh Pandey shared this video on Twitter, with the caption, "Such rains are like helping hands of God. One can see the happiness of the lady forester involved in firefighting in Similipal, Odisha. Good news is that fire is under control as per the current MODIS satellite data (sic)." Take a look.
