Video: Puducherry prepares for Cyclone Nivar

Puducherry CM V Narayanasamy reviewed the situation in the Union Territory ahead of Cyclone Nivar's landfall.

Narayanasamy visited the Kanakachettikulam area near Kalapet to review preparations.

He told media persons, "People have been advised to stay indoors. People living in low-lying areas should go to safer places. 80 centers have been identified where food & medicines are being provided. We shall restore electricity within 12 hours to those living in low lying areas to shift to safer places. We are providing food, drinking water to the people, and their Covid-19 test will also be done."
