After news of a fake fatwa against the song 'Manikya Malaraya Poovi' from 'Oru Adaar Love' and actress Priya Prakash Varrier started doing rounds of social media, a real fatwa has been issued against the song, according to News 18 Hindi.

Jamia Nizamia, one of the oldest Islamic seminaries of higher learning for Muslims belonging to Sunnis in India, has issued a fatwa in Hyderabad, stating that the lyrics of the viral Malayalam song 'Manikya Malaraye Poove' from the film 'Oru Adaar Love' needs to be changed or removed from the film. Only then will the film be released.

The fatwa also says the concerned authorities should ensure that it is removed before release.

A group of Muslim youth from Hyderabad had, on Wednesday, filed a complaint at Falaknuma Police Station against internet sensation and Malayalam actor Priya Prakash Varrier. They have alleged that the actor and the makers of the song 'Manikya Malaraya Poovi' from 'Oru Adaar Love' for allegedly hurting sentiments of Muslims.
