The prestigious High Speed Rail Network Project is building Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train under the NHSRCL (National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited), which organised a logo contest for its first Bullet Train.

27-year-old Alla Chakradhar, resident of Lakdikapul in Hyderabad won the first prize and received a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh from the hands of renowned architect and painter Satish Gujral in Delhi. The logo has a Cheetah running on the engine in blue, red and grey colours.

Chakradhar is pursuing his Second year Post Graduation in Graphic Designing at NID (National Institute of Design) in Ahmedabad. He previously completed his Architectural Engineering at Tiruchi’s National Institute of Technology.

Speaking after receiving his first prize Chakradhar said it took him three weeks to design the logo. Cheetah in the logo resembles speed of the Bullet Train and the three colours of blue, red and grey portray security, speed and comfort.

Chakradhar’s father Alla Sivakoti Prasad feels that his son is honoured to receive the award from the hands of such great personality as Satish Gujral. He also said it is a great opportunity to work in such a prestigious company as NHSRCL.
