PM Modi will inaugurate Hyderabad Metro Rail on schedule

The prestigious Metro Rail has got all clearances and officially will be opened to the public on November 28 after the inauguration by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The inauguration of the 30 km Metro Rail stretch from Miyapur to Nagole will be a record in the entire country.

Modi will land at the Hyderabad Begumpet Airport at 3:00 pm in the afternoon via a special plane where he will be received by Governor ESL Narasimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and other ministers.

He will reach Miyapur Metro Station and inaugurate it at 3:25 pm and will travel a stretch of 5 km to Kukatpally. He will return back to Miyapur and look at an exhibition organised at the Station.

He will reach HCC in Madhapur via a helicopter to inaugurate the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017. At 7 pm he will travel to Falaknuma Palace for the special dinner and from there he will leave for Shamshabad Airport at 8:30 pm to catch his flight to Delhi.

The Commissioner for Railway Safety (CMRS) granted approval for the remaining 10 stretch of track from SR Nagar to Mettuguda on Monday. CMRS had already approved the 8 km stretch from Nagole to Mettuguda and 12 km stretch from Miyapur to SR Nagar. The inauguration for the entire stretch of 30 km from Miyapur to Nagole via Ameerpet Interchange Station will be a record in the country.

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited, a subsidiary of Larsen and Toubro executed the Metro Rail project.
