Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a thrilling last-ball victory against Mumbai Indians
Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Mumbai Indians in a last-over thriller. This is Mumbai's second defeat on the trot while as for SRH, they have now won both their matches. One of the best matches in IPL history for neutral fans to cherish.
After being put to bat by Hyderabad, Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis opened the innings. While Lewis scored a decent 29 from 17 balls, Sharma couldn't impress. Suryakumar Yadav scored 28, so did Pollard. None could really hit the big shots, as Sandeep Sharma and Siddarth Kaul bowled well, claiming 2 wickets each. Billy Stanlake too took 2 wickets but was hit for 42.
The Sunrisers should've had it stamped and delivered after the opening partnership. But it was 20-year old Mayank Markande again, inspiring Mumbai to a comeback of great proportions with a four-wicket spell. Such a pity that, like the Chennai game, he has to finish on the losing side again. So it's the second straight win for SRH to start the tournament.
Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down the 148-run target with just a wicket remaining. Shikhar Dhawan and Wriddhiman Saha added 62 runs for the opening wicket. Mumbai Indians posted 147/8 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
