Threads app crosses 95 million posts mark, reportedly claims top spot on Apple App Store
Instagram’s new Threads app seems like it could be a hit. Mark Zuckerberg said that the app has more than 30 million sign-ups as of Thursday morning. According to internal data, there have already been more than 95 million posts and 190 million likes shared.
Within a day of its launch, people liked Meta's Threads app more than 190 million times, and it already has over 95 million posts. According to internal statistics obtained by The Verge, these figures were attained on both the iOS and Android platforms, and the app is presently the #1 free app in the Apple App Store.
In order to swiftly attract users to the site, Meta is using the Instagram user base. The ability to use the same username as on Instagram and even carry over verification, in the event that users are legacy verified users or are subscribers to Meta Verified, has made it easy for individuals to immediately connect with all of their Instagram followers.

"The Instagram team just released Threads, a new tool for joining online discussions and sending text updates. You sign in using your Instagram account, and postings may be up to 500 characters long with links, images, and videos up to five minutes long," according to a blog post published on Wednesday by Meta.
In a few ways, Threads is different from Twitter. First off, there are no hashtags or popular pages on it. Second, it is not designed for web usage, so the full experience can only be accessed through the official app for iOS and Android. Third, unlike Twitter, which has a 25,000 character limit, Threads has a maximum limit of 500 characters per post. However, users are allowed to publish links, images, and videos up to five minutes long.
Many users have also raised several issues, including the inability to delete a Threads profile without deleting the Instagram app, and the need to sign up for the app separately without an Instagram profile.
