Design and display
The most recent leak has confirmed the Galaxy S8+, the larger variant of the highly anticipated Samsung device. It comes from none other than Evan Blass, who is known to reveal accurate details about yet-to-be-announced devices. Going by the tweet, it means the S8 won't come with an 'edge' branding, as we saw in the case of Galaxy S7. Both S8 and S8+ will feature curved displays.

From what we've been hearing, the Galaxy S8 will come in two display sizes - 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch. But, display sizes of 5-inch and 6-inch are also making rounds on the Internet. A bezel-less AMOLED display with on-screen navigation buttons is expected, and will bid goodbye to the home button. With no home button, the fingerprint scanner could be moved to the back of the device.

Specifications

The Galaxy S8 will most likely come powered by the Snapdragon 835 and in some regions it could come with home-brewed Exynos 8895. There are two RAM options doing the rounds - 8GB and 6GB. On the camera front, a dual rear camera setup is expected for the larger variant, while others maintain that a 12Mp rear and an 8Mp front snapper with slight or no improvement over the S7 are expected.

Samsung's device will likely run the latest Android iteration and also get a new digital assistant just like Google Assistant or Apple Siri named Bixby. It may be called Hello Samsung.

Battery
The larger variant is expected to come with a 3600mAH battery while the smaller with 3000mAh battery. Samsung is also believed to have trademarked the term 'Beast mode'. Under this mode, the phone will offer a performance to its maximum capability. Samsung also promises some stringent battery tests to avoid Galaxy Note 7-like fiasco.

Pricing and availability

The smartphone was earlier speculated to be showcased at the Mobile World Congress or at least an announcement. The recent tweet from the company further adds fuel to fire. However, the reports have been strongly hinting at 29 March launch and further hitting stores by 15 April.
