Jio is limiting voice calls to 300 minutes per day for some users: Report
- Reliance Jio has limited voice calls to 300 minutes per day.
- The number of SMSes is also limited to 100 free SMS per day.
If the latest news is to be believed than Jio plans to limit free calls, and offer 300 minutes per day, as per Telecomtalk report. The reason for doing so is to put an end to misuse.
So, though recharges mention unlimited calls, Reliance Jio has begun limiting it to 300 minutes per day. This is only for a few users who are misusing the plan. However, the report adds that these 300 minutes do not include international calls made which require separate vouchers.
The terms and conditions reportedly add, "This plan is intended only for personal use of included services. RJIL reserves the right to discontinue the free Voice benefits offered as part of this Plan in case of misuse/ fraudulent use/ unauthorised telemarketing and commercial use.”
The number of SMSes is also limited to 100 free SMS per day. This decision comes in line with TRAI's decision of limiting the number of SMSes sent to keep a tab on misuse and pesky messages.
On the other hand, if you see Vodafone's terms and conditions, then it reportedly states, "Customers using more than 1000 minutes (local +STD) in any period of consecutive 7 days, will be charged at 30p per minute for rest of 7 days period.”
