Instagram went down globally as users unable to load stories, posts

Instagram appears to be unavailable for many users in India and other Asian countries. According to DownDetector, a real-time outage tracker, the Facebook-owned platform began reporting faults at 11 am IST, and over 3,000 error reports began arriving around 12:30 pm IST. According to the outage tracker, most users (47 per cent) are experiencing app problems, while 27 per cent are unable to access the web client.
As is customary, many people went to social media sites such as Twitter to investigate the origin of the error. Some tweets claim that the app fails to update, while others say that users are experiencing Direct Message problems (DM). Based on tweets, many users are unable to load news and posts. Instagram's iOS and Android apps appear to be affected as well.
