Here's everything we know about the device. The new images coming from none other than prolific tipster Evan Blass show the leaked devices in dual colours.
To begin with, the company is likely to launch two models - Pixel 2 and pixel 2XL. They are rumoured to be build by HTC and LG, but will be marketed as Google phone without the mention of these companies. This is the approach that the company has been following with the Pixel brand.
It is speculated that the devices will be powered by Snapdragon 835. It could include 3GB and 4GB RAM options, and storage options would include 64Gb and 128GB.
The Pixel XL could feature a 5-inch display while the 2XL could come with a 6-inch display. A bezel-less AMOLED display is expected, and the rear side will be a fingerprint scanner. The device may borrow the squeezable edge from the HTC U11. The device may also ditch the 3.5mm audio jack, just like Apple, if reports are to be believed.
Needless to say, the devices will run the latest Android Oreo. A 9To5Google report claims that Google may be trying to focus on the camera, especially low light photography. It may include a dual rear snapper, going by the latest trend. Wireless charging, water and dust resistance could also make it to the list of features.
Price and availability
It is believed that the company will release the device sometime around mid October, and before the iPhone X hits store shelves. The starting prices of the Pixel and Pixel 2XL are speculated to be around £599 (approx Rs 51,990) and £719 (approx Rs 62,500), respectively.
