iPhone X India launch: Here's how to buy

Apple had launched three new smartphones - and the . The iPhone X is its anniversary edition that is the most celebrated device from Apple. It is quite different from the iPhone 8 models, and carries a higher price tag. 

Finally, the iPhone X will be available in India. The pre-orders begin today and the deliveries are expected from November 3. The iPhone X 64GB costs Rs 89,000 while the 256GB storage version costs Rs 1,02,000. The pre-orders start October 27 from 12:31 PM on Flipkart. Another big news from Apple is the announced of international warranty for iPhones. This will it easier for people to buy Apple phones from outside India. OLED display

The iPhone X has the front side covered with all screen. Yes, an edge-to-edge 5.8-inch Super Retina. It's the first iPhone with an OLED screen that promises true blacks and 1000000 to 1 contrast ratio.

Durable glass design

Clearly, the iPhone X is a complete overhaul, posing a new design with rounded corners and flat front glass surface. Interestingly, Apple calls it the most durable glass ever and surgical-grade stainless steel.

Wireless charging

You won't require any charging cable as iPhone X supports wireless charging. Apple has also introduced Air Power mats for wirelessly charging the devices.

Water and dust resistance

The iPhone X is splash, water, and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529.

Face ID

The face ID has been enabled by TrueDepth camera. The facial mapping is used to project and analyse over 30,000 invisible dots and create a depth map of your face. Needless to say, it will allow you to unlock the device using your face. Apple claims that Face ID is so secure that you can even use it to pay. Machine learning lets Face ID adapt to physical changes in your appearance over time.

Camera

Expect a larger and faster 12MP sensor. Both rear cameras have optical image stabilization. It gets a new colour filter, deeper pixels and a telephoto that comes with OIS. The wide-angle and telephoto cameras on iPhone X enable optical zoom, as well as digital zoom of up to 10x for photos and 6x for videos. The front camera will let you create selfies that are capable of artfully blurring the backgrounds.

Processor

iPhone X will come powered with the A11 Bionic. It claims to be the most powerful and smartest chip ever in a smartphone, with a neural engine that’s capable of up to 600 billion operations per second. It is up to 70 percent faster than A10 Fusion.

Animoji

This is a fun feature that allows the TrueDepth camera to analyse 50 different muscles movements and mirror your expressions using 12 animojis like panda, pig and so on.

iOS 11
