Jio, Vodafone and Idea: A look at the free data offers

Reliance Jio has announced a new offer that would bring to you 20 percent more 4G data. Reliance owns the LYF brand of smartphones and users need to buy a Lyf Water device that comes priced in the range Rs 6600 to Rs 9700 to get the additional 4G data. Check the list eligible of devices.
On purchasing the device and inserting the Jio SIM in the card slot, the extra credit will reflect within 48 hours. Along with the data, the company also adds one year of additional warranty. The offer is valid till 31 March, 2018 and users can keep renewing their packages by purchasing recharges of Rs 309 (6GB extra), Rs 509 (12GB extra). The additional data will be given about six times until the validity ends on 31 March, 2018.
Reliance Jio has also announced that on purchase of its portable broadband device called JioFi, users will get 100 percent cashback. Priced at Rs 1999, JioFi lets you connect up to 10 devices to 4G by creating a personal Wi-Fi hotspot. Under this new plan, all those who purchase the 4G device will get vouchers worth Rs 1005. You can find out more here. So, users will reportedly get vouchers in five top-ups priced at Rs 201 each. And, those are exchanging their non-Jio devices, will benefit with 10 such top-up vouchers.
Idea Cellular has launched new lucrative plans to combat the Jio effect. A massive 70GB of data with a cap of 1GB/day seems very appealing. Users get 3G data that will be valid for 70 days. As special Ramzan offer, Vodafone is offering unlimited 3G valid for an hour at Rs 19. 3G users can activate the pack by dialling *444*19#.
Vodafone is also offering Superday at Rs 19. Vodafone's Superday plan allows unlimited local and STD calls, along with 100MB of data at just Rs 19 per day. However, you must own a 4G-enabled device. Those with non-4G handsets will get only 50MB data. Find out more here.
