In a thrilling Champions League encounter, Gabriel Jesus played a pivotal role in leading Arsenal to a 2-1 victory over Sevilla on Tuesday night. The Brazilian striker showcased his skill and brilliance by orchestrating an assist and scoring a spectacular goal, leaving an indelible mark on the game, although his match was cut short due to a hamstring injury in the 81st minute.

During the first half, Jesus stood out with a mesmerizing piece of play, executing a Cruyff turn inside Arsenal's half before threading a precise pass to Gabriel Martinelli. Martinelli capitalised on the opportunity, slicing through a defensive gap, rounding the goalkeeper, and slotting the ball into an empty net in the final moments of stoppage time, giving Arsenal an early lead.

Gabriel Jesus continued to shine, netting a sensational solo goal in the 53rd minute. Operating from the left wing, he expertly maneuvered the ball onto his right foot and executed a curling finish that found the back of the net, leaving Sevilla's goalkeeper, Orjan Nyland, helpless. However, Sevilla did not concede defeat and mounted a response, with Nemanja Gudelj heading home a powerful goal from an Ivan Rakitic corner.

The contest remained intense, with Sevilla narrowly missing an equalizer when substitute Mariano Diaz's strike was tipped onto the crossbar by Arsenal's goalkeeper, David Raya. Despite the pressure, Arsenal managed to maintain their lead, securing victory and claiming the top spot in Group B.

Their victory was a strong comeback after a previous defeat to Lens, who now sit just one point behind in second place following a 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven. PSV and Sevilla currently share the second spot with two points each. The two sides will meet again in two weeks at the Emirates Stadium, promising another exciting encounter.
