A fake letter has caused a Pakistani reporter to be trolled mercilessly on Twitter. Syed Yahya Hussaini, a reporter of Geo TV, has become the butt of jokes after a fake letter purportedly issued by Sri Lanka Cricket asking its members to stay away from talking to him started doing rounds in social media.

The letter titled ‘Urgent And Confidential’ from Sri Lanka Cricket Board stated that members of the playing staff, as well as the team management, are to stay away from Pakistani journalist Syed Yahya Hussaini.

It also featured Sri Lanka Cricket Board President Thilanga Sumathipala’s signature as well.

However, no such letter was issued by the Sri Lankan Cricket Board, confirmed the president. “I have not seen anything like this before. Not a letter from SLC,” he said.

The trolling started after a few over-enthusiastic twitterati started comparing his selfies with the various players. They say that before the India-Pakistan match he had taken a selfie with Sarfraz Khan, Pakistan lost that day. He took a selfie with AB de Villiers before the Pakistan-South Africa match, and South Africa lost. AB de Villiers scored his career’s first golden duck.

The twitterati got a further boost after the India-Sri Lanka match. They say that Sri Lanka won the match against India because they stayed away from him.
