'Clash' bags Golden Crow Pheasant Award for Best Film at IFFK

Clash bags Golden Crow Pheasant Award for Best Film at IFFK

Egyptian movie 'Clash' directed by Mohamed Diab won the Golden Crow Pheasant (Suvarna Chakoram) Award at the 21st International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).

 


The Silver Crow Pheasant Award for Best Director went to  Yesim Ustaoglu for Turkish movie 'Clair Obscur'. Former journalist and director Vidhu Vincent received Silver Crow Pheasant Award for her debut movie 'Manhole'.

'Warehoused' walked away with the  Fipresci Award for Best International Film and 'Manhole' won Fipresci Award for Best Malayalam Film.The Netpac Award for Best Asian Film was received by 'Cold of Kalandar' and ' Kammatipaadam' won Netpac Award for Best Malayalam Film. 

 


The competition section of the IFFK, arguably the most popular international film festivals in South Asia when it comes to public participation, is restricted for films from Asia, Africa and Latin America.
