Arrested Chennai techie couple made ₹2 crore through child porn
FollowThe Tamil Nadu cyber police busted a major child pornography racket and arrested a techie couple from Chennai, who ran several porn websites that sold child porn images and videos to registered clients.
According to local reports, the Tamil Nadu cyber crime wing of the CB-CID were tipped off about the couple - Siddharth Velu and his wife Priscilla, who operated their web porn business from Sholinganallur in Chennai.
The police investigations found that the couple were software engineers, who have worked in several MNCs, but to make quick money, the two decided to operate the porn websites.
The local police found that the couple ran a succesful business and made close to ₹2.4 crore through child pornography.
The website was managed by Velu who initially started with the porn site called cute candid.net. The couple then began a few more websites which was hosted under the names Indianshowgirls.com, mywife4u, indianswingtown.com and shakeela4u.com.
A case has been registered under the IT act and charges of child pornography. The police now have taken the couple into custody and are now trying to get the details of the members who registered on their websites.
